Job summary

L&T Technology Services seeks a mechanical engineer to design and program robotic workcells and EOAT, bridging physical design with control logic. You will lead mechanical design using SolidWorks, perform reachability and payload analyses, and validate performance before installation.

The role requires hands-on robotics integration, PLC/HMI development, and strong GD&T knowledge to ensure safe, efficient automation in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• FE exam passed with fundamentals knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 2020 and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with powertrain fixture design and robotics integration.
• Advanced PLC/HMI programming and electrical schematic knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and program complex robotic workcells and EOAT.
• Lead mechanical design with SolidWorks and GD&T compliance.
• Conduct robot reachability and payload analyses for performance validation.
• Develop safety systems incl. safety PLCs and light curtains.
• Create and troubleshoot PLC/HMI and electrical schematics.
