Job summary

JLS Automation is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive technical outcomes on concurrent robotics projects for the food packaging industry. You will configure robots and vision systems, design with CAD tools, and mentor a small team to deliver on-time results.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 4 years of related experience, with travel up to 25% and the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints/schematics to support project work.
• Experience leading small teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Travel up to 25% and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitary standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns technical project execution and ensures customer satisfaction.
• Design automation, motion control, and robotic solutions for orders.
• Lead and mentor commissioning engineers and junior staff.
• Write scope of work and design workbook for projects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Provide technical guidance across design, controls, and software.
• Configure robotic programs and vision systems, assist startup.
• Prepare drawings, docs, and user manuals; assist purchasing as needed.
