Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for a rapidly scaling robotics company in Woburn, MA. You will contribute across the stack, integrating ROS with cloud services and on-premise hardware to support autonomous robotic platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of software experience, ROS expertise, and strong TS/React frontend skills with Go/Python backend capabilities. Expect startup-pace ownership and cross-disciplinary collaboration across hardware and software

1) have at least 2 recent years of professional robotics software development experience (ROS needed)
2) have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience total (this role is open to hiring someone significantly more senior than that as well)
3) can commute to Woburn, MA 4-5 days per week

This role is with a rapidly scaling robotics company that is on a mission to modernize the tire service industry through a combination of automation, robotics, software, and AI. The team is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help develop the software ecosystem behind its autonomous robotic platforms. This role will involve building applications and services using TypeScript, React, Go, Python, AWS, C/C++, and ROS, helping connect cloud-based systems with advanced robotics operating in real-world environments.
This is a highly impactful position within a startup culture where engineers are trusted with significant ownership and influence. You'll contribute across a broad range of initiatives, including robotics software, cloud infrastructure, operational tooling, monitoring platforms, and autonomous system capabilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working across the stack, collaborating closely with hardware teams, and solving the unique challenges that come with deploying software into physical robotic systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Robotics Operating System (ROS) experience
• Strong frontend development experience with TypeScript and React
• Professional backend development experience usingGo, Python, or similar technologies
• Familiarity with software architecture, performance tuning, and system design best practices
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment
