Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to build perception systems for robotic rover platforms equipped with cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and other sensors.

You will design and optimize perception and sensor fusion algorithms, enable autonomous guidance, navigation, and control, and ensure software runs efficiently on embedded ARM and heterogeneous compute platforms. Join a mission-driven team advancing space and national security technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/EE/Robotics or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience developing robotics algorithms.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience shipping production software in Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain perception software for autonomous rovers and robotic spacecraft.
• Develop stereo vision and LiDAR algorithms for VIO, hazard detection and localization.
• Build sensor fusion pipelines from camera, LiDAR, IMU, RF, and navigation data.
• Implement feature detection, image registration, optical flow, and point cloud processing.
• Design motion control, path planning, and behavior control for surface vehicles.
• Optimize robotics software for embedded ARM processors and GPUs/FPGAs.
• Develop simulation tools and sensor models for development and validation.
• Develop automated testing, HIL and SIL verification frameworks.
