Job summary

Field AI in Irvine seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Behavior & Interaction to own end-to-end autonomy software, turning raw autonomy into finished missions and shaping how humans task and collaborate with robots. You will architect and ship the behavior orchestration and mission pipelines used in demanding industrial environments.

Qualification includes a Master’s or PhD in a technical field and 5+ years shipping production robotics software.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in CS, EE, Robotics or related field.
• 5+ years of senior-level software experience in robotics/autonomy.
• Production-quality software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Own behavior and mission layer that operationalizes autonomy.
• Architect behavior orchestration for autonomous missions.
• Design and build human–robot interaction behavior.
• Validate behaviors on physical platforms in real conditions.
• Lead design reviews and elevate engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers across autonomy, perception, and field teams.
