Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Robotics Software Engineer for the Omen Team at our Costa Mesa HQ. You will solve problems in networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and perception, making pragmatic tradeoffs while ensuring products work together to achieve critical outcomes.

You will contribute to developing robust software with real-world impact, collaborating across disciplines and traveling for field testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background from industry or school in CS, SWE, Math, or Physics.
• 8+ years of professional industry experience with C++ or Rust.
• Experience building software with significant data processing and analysis.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
• Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact.
• Willing to travel up to 25% for testing/demonstrations.
• Eligible to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the mission autonomy systems and services deployed to customers.
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capability to more customers.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring.
• Triage issues, root cause analysis, and coordinate next-steps.
• Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing UX with engineering constraints.
• Travel up to 25% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world.
