You will recruit and mentor researchers and engineers, design rigorous standards, and ensure reliable performance on physical robots while collaborating with AI and neuroscience colleagues to translate insights into functioning systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of robotics research and engineering experience.
• Original work on physical robotic systems with measurable impact.
• Broad expertise across perception, learning, planning, control, and deployment.
• Ability to turn research prototypes into reliable robotic capabilities.
• Experience recruiting and mentoring researchers and engineers.
• Interest in AI and computational neuroscience in robotics.

Responsabilités

• Advance useful robotic capabilities with reliable performance in real environments.
• Design and execute the robotics roadmap across perception, learning, simulation, control, and deployment.
• Guide work from algorithm development to real-world deployment with rigorous evaluation.
• Recruit and mentor robotics researchers and engineers.
• Solve technical problems spanning software, models, sensing, and hardware.
• Establish reproducible benchmarks and testing practices.
• Collaborate with AI and neuroscience colleagues to test learning methods on robots.
• Guide hardware and tooling investments and communicate progress to leadership.
