Job summary

Steven Douglas Corp. (SDC) is seeking an experienced Robotics Programmer to take a robotic application from concept through programming, integration, debug, and startup.

You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, controls and applications teams to develop reliable robotic solutions for assembly, material handling, machine tending, inspection, and other automated processes, traveling up to 10% for customer support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in programming and integrating industrial robots.
• Hands-on FANUC experience strongly preferred; others ok.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and safety systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for installations and startups.

Responsibilities

• Program and integrate industrial robots into custom machinery.
• Develop and optimize robotic motion paths for various applications.
• Use simulation and planning software to validate projects.
• Configure controllers and integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, vision, and safety systems.
• Assist calibration, coordinate systems, and robot-vision communication.
• Troubleshoot programming, motion, and integration issues throughout projects.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for proper robot selection and integration.
• Support safety implementation and customer runoff at sites.
• Create clear program documentation and final project reports.
