Job summary

Amazon Robotics in Reading, MA is seeking a Senior Inventory & Manufacturing Planner to own inventory strategy, ECO/MCOs, and MBOMs for robotic systems advancing from development to production.

You will build planning infrastructure, drive capacity models, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to optimize throughput and minimize obsolescence. This role emphasizes data-driven decisions and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years professional/military experience.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management concepts.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience with reporting/visualization tools (QuickSight/Tableau/Power BI).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean techniques.
• Experience with engineering change management (ECOs/MCOs) and BOM management.
• Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce inventory control policies; drive accuracy through cycle count programs, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce E&O through proactive lifecycle management, disposition strategies, and demand-aligned replenishment.
• Develop new inventory strategies that scale with program growth and evolving manufacturing requirements.
• Own ECOs and MCOs across supported programs.
• Build and maintain MBOMs with full configuration accuracy and traceability.
• Set up and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules; partner with engineering on master data, routings, and resource rates.
• Create finite capacity production schedules considering equipment, labor, and material constraints.
• Develop build schedules and release work orders through their complete lifecycle, with emphasis on early NPI programs.
• Develop and maintain short-term and medium-term capacity models; identify and resolve bottlenecks through constraint analysis.
• Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize manufacturing throughput.
• Build KPI dashboards to track inventory and planning performance; use data to drive decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics on supply plan execution.
