Job summary

Amazon Robotics in Massachusetts is seeking an Inventory & Manufacturing Planner to own inventory control, ECOs/MCOs, MBOMs, and production scheduling for robotic systems at BOS27/BOS35. You will build the planning infrastructure and drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, operations, and procurement.

You will optimize inventory, set up policies, manage change orders, and develop capacity models to scale from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years in supply chain, inventory management or project management.
• Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean or Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of materials management processes including inventory, purchasing, warehousing and MRP.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
• Experience in supply chain contracting, demand management or planning and procurement.
• Experience with ECOs/MCOs and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce inventory control policies; drive accuracy with cycle counts and corrective actions.
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce excess through lifecycle management and replenishment.
• Develop new inventory strategies aligning with program growth and manufacturing needs.
• Own ECOs and MCOs across supported programs.
• Build/maintain MBOMs with configuration accuracy and traceability.
• Set up Bills of Distribution; align master data, routings and resource rates.
• Create finite capacity production schedules considering constraints.
• Develop build schedules and release work orders through lifecycle (early NPI).
• Develop capacity models and identify bottlenecks via constraint analysis.
• Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize throughput.
• Build KPI dashboards; use data to drive decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and logistics.
