Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Robotics Engineer to debug robotic solutions, including in-house arms and related hardware/software. You will be involved in debugging, QA, deployment environments, and testing robots that move from A to B.

You will work with engineers to assemble, debug issues, and run debugging scripts. Strong ROS experience and hands-on hardware debugging are essential; Master/PhD graduates with relevant experience will be considered.

Job Description

You will be responsible for debugging robotic solutions, including robotic arms and other in-house solutions.

• You must know how robotics works and have an understanding of software and hardware.
• You must be familiar with assembling, performing testing QA of the solutions, including final deployment environments, capable testing robots that go from point A to point B.
• You need to understand the mechanics, how the different parts are connected, and how to operate using the software.
• Tasks include the ability to debug the deployed solutions, perform the QA and assist with debugging issues.
• You will work closely with engineers to assemble; you will not write solutions from scratch.
• You must know about operating a robotic arm, know how to debug if there is an issue, e.g., power supply, and complete checks to debug the issue.
• You will work with other Robotics Engineers and debug these systems, helping to deploy, assemble and test them.
• You will run debugging scripts.

Requirements

• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting experience on software and hardware.
• Understanding how robots operate; you will be trained on these systems, but must have experience debugging robotics or hardware systems.
• Ability to assemble robotic components.
• Experience with ROS.
• Python scripting is preferred.
• Masters/PhD graduates with hands‑on experience that can debug will be considered.

Salary Range: $90,000–$150,000 a year
