Job summary

NVIDIA's Seattle Robotics Lab is seeking world‑class senior research scientists to lead and contribute to cutting‑edge robotics and AI research. You will develop algorithms for robotic manipulation, integrate them into real systems, and mentor junior researchers while collaborating with product teams to bring innovations to NVIDIA products.

The role demands a PhD or equivalent experience, a strong publication record, and exceptional skills in Python, C++, CUDA, and modern DL frameworks.

Qualifications

• PhD in Robotics, ML, CS, EE, ME, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of research experience after PhD; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong publication record in top robotics/AI venues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with leadership and mentorship experience.
• Proficient in Python; knowledge of C++, CUDA, Warp is a plus.
• Fluency with PyTorch and JAX; experience with ROS2 and physics simulators like Isaac Sim/Lab and MuJoCo.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms, models, and methods for robotic manipulation and loco-manipulation for various platforms.
• Integrate research into real-world manipulation systems with diverse hardware.
• Co-lead multi-person research projects across robotics and ML stacks.
• Engage with academic community via publications, conferences, and code releases.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to transfer research into NVIDIA products.
• Mentor interns and junior researchers.
