Job summary

NVIDIA Seattle Robotics Lab in Seattle seeks a research scientist to push the boundaries of robotics and AI, crafting algorithms, publishing results, and guiding product-ready technologies. You will collaborate across teams to translate findings from lab to silicon and software.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Robotics, ML, CS, EE, ME, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A strong publication track record in top robotics/AI venues.
  • Exceptional programming in Python with PyTorch or JAX; experience with ROS/ROS2.
  • Familiarity with robotics simulators such as Isaac Sim or MuJoCo.

Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms, models, and methods for robotic manipulation and loco-manipulation for both industrial and household applications.
  • Integrate methods into real-world robotic manipulation systems including collaborative arms, industrial arms, mobile manipulators, humanoids, and dexterous hands.
  • Contribute to multi-person research projects across robotics and machine learning stacks.
  • Engage with the academic community through high-impact publications, conferences, workshops, and code releases.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to transfer research into NVIDIA products with real-world impact.
  • Mentor interns joining NVIDIA during their PhD programs.
