Job summary

FieldAI's FAIRI invites a DevOps Engineer to own the humanoid data and compute infrastructure in Cambridge, MA, with close ties to Field AI's platform teams. You will build CI/CD, data pipelines, and IaC for reliable research deployments, stepping in as the first dedicated infra hire.

You'll collaborate with platform, cloud, and data teams to ship robust pipelines for ROS 2, Airflow, and AWS services, while ensuring security, governance, and reproducibility for cutting-edge robotics research.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, platform, infrastructure, or SRE roles.
• AWS in production: ECR, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, Batch, ECS/Fargate.
• Infrastructure as code with a review-and-version discipline.
• CI/CD design and operation at scale, GitHub Actions preferred.
• Kubernetes in production with scheduling and governance.
• Container tooling and build optimization (Docker, BuildKit, Kaniko).
• Workflow orchestration (Airflow).
• Python, Bash, and some C++ familiarity.
• Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
• Observability with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Own FAIRI's CI/CD and build pipelines for humanoid research.
• Stand up and maintain data pipelines and registry for datasets and missions.
• Manage AWS footprint as code and security/compliance posture.
• Collaborate with Field AI platform, cloud, and data teams.
• Document runbooks and support researchers during demos.
