Formlabs is looking for a Senior Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to join their team in Somerville, Massachusetts. This role encompasses the integration of subsystems, management of requirements, and design validation to ensure optimal product performance.

The ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience in complex electro-mechanical system design and enjoys solving cross-disciplinary challenges. Compensation includes a competitive salary range from $130,000 to $163,000, along with equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience designing complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of motion control, sensors and control algorithms.
• Experience managing system and subsystem requirements.
• Passionate about understanding why systems work (or don’t).
• Scripting experience preferred in Python.

Responsibilities

• Integrate firmware and hardware of subsystems into one system.
• Document visual descriptions of systems and subsystems.
• Define/refine control algorithms for sub-systems.
• Design and execute tests for system validation.
• Resolve issues to improve system performance.
