Apptronik is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer – Robotic Hand Design Tech Lead to lead the structural design of a next-generation humanoid hand for the Apollo platform. Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8 years of experience in mechanical design of complex robotic systems.
• Experience with multi-axis, high-DOF mechanisms.
• Tendon-driven systems and cable routing preferred.
• Hands-on prototyping and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own robotic hand structural architecture and load paths.
• Lead design of fingers and joints for multi-DOF dexterity.
• Co-design with actuation teams on tendon-driven or remote actuation.
• Engineer for contact-rich, human-like interaction.
• Drive structural analyses, FEA, and durability.
• Enable compact, integrated designs with sensors and wiring.
• Lead prototyping and iterative testing.
• Ensure manufacturability and scale-up with DFM/DFA.
• Collaborate with controls, perception, electrical, and software teams.
• Provide technical leadership and design reviews.
