Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Roaming QC Technician for a position in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This role coordinates quality control, inspects and witnesses tests to ensure products meet standards, and reports to the Site QC Manager.

The candidate should have 10–20 years of QC experience, a CWI certification, welding background, and the ability to mentor others with strong communication skills. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of QC/inspection experience.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Welding background.
• Ability to mentor others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Ability to read isometric diagrams, PIDs, CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of the company QA/QC program and performs inspections.
• Witnesses tests to determine acceptability of work and conducts audits.
• Defines corrective measures and ensures implementation.
• Supervises workers engaged in QA/QC activities in plant functions.
• Analyzes data and maintains QA/QC records.
