We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to support our East Gulf Region located in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa, AL.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide plan review and project management for ALDOT and/or local municipalities in this region.
• Organize activities, schedules, and reporting in support of assigned projects.
• Prepare, issue, and track project documentation such as contracts, change orders, and client sign-offs for all project phases.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies as required.
• Assist with documents like invoices and purchase orders; coordinate with outside resources.
• Prepare and edit meeting minutes and presentations.
• Support project submittals and bidding activities.
• Provide technical and administrative support to project teams and clients.
• Market to local municipal clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Have

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of relevant roadway design experience.
• Proven skills in meeting DOT expectations, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience with ALDOT projects is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Expertise in DOT design methods, standards, and specifications.
• Experience managing medium to large projects, multi-office, or multiple projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and client liaison skills.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads and Geopak.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
