Position Overview:

As a Senior Roadway Engineer | Project Manager with PRIME AE, you will play a vital role in shaping communities and enhancing the built environment. This position centers on leading the engineering design and development of urban and rural highways and roadways within our Transportation Division. You will manage impactful projects, mentor emerging engineers, and foster their growth in highway engineering, directly contributing to our mission of making a positive difference through our work. You will also collaborate with our Transportation Teams across all states to advance meaningful projects that serve our communities and deliver excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Win ODOT, City, and County transportation projects.
• Develop scope and fee proposals.
• Report and estimate Project financials.
• Oversee and track project schedules.
• Highway design and computations.
• Provide Quality control and oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs of roadway, highway and interchange projects. Including plans, specifications and estimates.
• Design experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout, and ADA compliance projects.
• Assist with developing and mentoring the highway engineering skillsets of junior and entry-level design engineers.
• This position requires frequent client interaction and report preparation.
  
  

Minimum Position Requirements:

• BSCE required
• Active PE registration is required.
• 10+ years’ progressive experience in a combination of highway design and project management responsibilities.
• Preliminary and Final design experience with ODOT projects, specifications and guidelines preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using Civil 3D, OpenRoad Designer, and roadway design software is a plus.
• Working knowledge and working experience of all programs supported by MS Office required, including MS Project is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with AASHTO Policy’s and Guidelines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
