Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Platform in Manassas, VA. You will design transportation projects, collaborate with a broad team, and support project management activities while adhering to VDOT standards.

The role requires a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, 4–8 years of experience, and a PE license (or EIT with plans to obtain PE within 1 year).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in transportation design and/or project management
• PE license in Virginia or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 1 year
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes
• Proficiency in MicroStation preferred

Responsibilities

• Shape transportation projects including roads, highways, and traffic management systems
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors, and public agencies
• Assist with project management activities such as scheduling, cost estimation, and resource planning
• Prepare engineering designs and documentation that align with VDOT standards
• Mentor junior team members while upholding high technical standards
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
