Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Civil / Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in Wichita, KS. This role involves leading design teams, providing technical expertise, and maintaining relationships with clients. The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer's License in Kansas, and 5+ years of relevant experience. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the Transportation engineering field.
  • Professional Engineer's License in Kansas.
  • Hands-on experience with project design and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in OpenRoads Designer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Lead tasks & design teams in the execution of projects.
  • Provide technical expertise in various stages of project design.
  • Collaborate with key staff across disciplines.
  • Maintain positive team and client relationships.

This Opportunity

WSP USA is seeking a Civil / Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Wichita, KS office. This is an opportunity to join a team designing some of the most complex and impactful transportation projects in Kansas. Our Wichita team focuses on delivering projects for our clients while mentoring and developing team members to prepare for them for future opportunities.

Your Impact
  • Lead tasks & design teams in the execution of projects
  • Provide technical expertise in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications
  • Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design
  • Maintain positive team and client relationships
  • Collaborate with key staff across disciplines (i.e. drainage, structures) as required
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field from accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience in the Transporation engineering field
  • Professional Engineer's License in Kansas
  • Hands-on experience in OpenRoads Designer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
