Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Wichita, KS office. The role focuses on delivering complex transportation projects and mentoring team members for future opportunities.

The ideal candidate will lead design tasks, provide technical guidance across design stages, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or closely related field from accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in the Transportation engineering field.
• Professional Engineer’s License in Kansas.
• Hands-on experience in OpenRoads Designer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks & design teams in the execution of projects.
• Provide technical expertise in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
• Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design.
• Maintain positive team and client relationships.

Who You Are

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
