Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior roadway design engineer to lead detailed urban roadway projects in Louisiana. You will perform quality assurance on major transportation projects across interstates and state highways, and act as a technical expert to resolve complex problems.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to coordinate with diverse teams are essential. Prior experience with urban/rural interchanges, traffic management, CAD base layouts, and site planning is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of roadway engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering license (PE) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to work with various teams.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout, CAD base alignment plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSCE degree.
• Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applications.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
• Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to work with various teams.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout, CAD base alignment plans.
• Experience coordinating survey, grading, drainage and utilities, and layout of various site items is a plus.
