Job summary

Rinker Design Associates (RDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Roadway Manager to join the Transportation team in Manassas, VA. In this leadership role, you'll oversee the planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects while guiding staff and maintaining client relationships.

You'll mentor engineers, ensure designs meet VDOT and industry standards, and collaborate with regulatory agencies. The position offers a competitive compensation package with a $10K sign-on bonus and opportunities for

Qualifications

12+ years of roadway design and project management experience.
PE license required, Virginia licensure or reciprocity.
Knowledge of VDOT Road Design Manual, AASHTO, MUTCD and related standards.
Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

Manage roadway design projects from planning through final design and construction support.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Serve as main client contact and coordinate with subconsultants and regulatory agencies.
Provide technical leadership and QA for design plans, specs, quantities, and estimates.
Mentor and develop engineers and designers.
Support business development and project pursuits.
Oversee workload planning, resource allocation, and project financial performance.
