Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks an Engineer 2 (Roadway Design) to support the Kentucky Transportation Division. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, applying KYTC design manual and AASHTO principles.

Responsibilities include roadway design for KYTC and LPA clients, producing design calculations and plans, coordinating with CADD staff, and leading a small team. Remote or hybrid options and a sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Roadway design for KYTC and Local Public Agency (LPA) clients.
• Creates and reviews project design calculations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, plans and contract documents.
• Works within the Transportation Team and project schedules and budgets.
• Applies KYTC design manual and AASHTO principles to highway design.
