Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking Senior Roadway Design Engineers to join a dynamic and highly technical team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Nashville area office. As a Senior Roadway Design Engineer, you will lead highway and roadway design projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries. You will also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for improving all modes of transportation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Provide technical oversight/support
2. Plan and manage tasks and team members
3. Coordinate with other disciplines
4. Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub consultants in the various assignments
5. Design roadway geometrics
6. Intersection design
7. Conceptual development
8. Maintenance of Traffic plans
9. Right-of-way and Construction plans
10. Drainage design
11. Erosion and sedimentation control
12. Other related design tasks
13. Client relationships and business development

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

1. BS Civil Engineer or related field with 6+ years of related experience or equivalent experience and/or education
2. US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects
3. Valid US driver's license and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Professional Engineer License
2. Project Management experience – personnel, budget, and client management
3. 10+ years of roadway design experience
4. Projects with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOTs
5. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment
6. MicroStation/GeoPak and/or OpenRoads or similar design applications
7. Successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn

Additional Information

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $96,000.00 - $176,500.00.
