Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Resident Engineer - Roads and Bridges in Tulsa, OK, for a hybrid role reporting to the office twice weekly. You will oversee construction activities for major road and bridge projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of design/construction experience, and P.E. registration. ODOT/OTA familiarity is preferred, with strong leadership and coordination across PM, CS, and field staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of experience in engineering design and construction/observation, including supervision of field personnel.
• P.E. Registration is required.
• Ability to direct complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
• ODOT and OTA experience preferred; familiarity with ODOT specs and standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer and observe construction activities for major road and bridge projects to ensure quality and compliance with plans and specs.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Construction Superintendent to supervise internal staff and subconsultants in observation, testing, and documentation of work.
• Coordinate monitoring with PM/CS to resolve issues, schedule work, and prepare contract changes and amendments.
• Report project cost and quality control activities to the PM.
• Apply sound engineering judgment across broad assignments and coordinate multiple projects.
• Perform other duties as required by PM and client.
• Experience with ODOT is preferred.
