Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners seeks a Senior Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Vascular Surgery Office in Albany, NY. Position is full time, Day shift, located on the hospital campus at 319 South Manning Blvd.

You will perform nursing duties using the nursing process, manage patient care in the EMR, educate patients, and coordinate referrals. Requires NYS RN license, BLS, and 6 months of RN experience. Strong orientation and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• HS Diploma/equivalent required.
• Current NYS RN license and Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Brings patient to exam room, takes vitals, documents in EMR.
• Review and update medication list in EMR for provider review.
• Complete referrals and tracks patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and forward to providers.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by provider.
• Educate patients on medications, tests and home care.
