Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) II to deliver professional nursing care across a diverse patient population, performing assessments, treatments, patient education and documentation. The role supports physicians and the interprofessional team to achieve quality outcomes with compassionate care.

As a leader on the unit, the RN II may serve as charge nurse or preceptor, participate in governance initiatives, and contribute to service line or hospital-wide efforts

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Current Texas RN licensure or eligibility with compact licensure; must obtain permanent license promptly.
• BLS certification required; Magnet certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education and maintain medical records.
