Job summary

Noblis is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Huntsville, AL to lead RMF processes for DoD systems and support ATO activities. The role requires hands-on experience with eMASS, vulnerability scanning tools, and DoD cybersecurity policy knowledge.

The ISSO will prepare artifacts (SSP, POAM, system diagrams) and coordinate remediation, while ensuring compliance across Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7+ years direct experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity/Information Assurance with RMF/ISSO experience.
• Demonstrated DoD RMF involvement and obtaining/maintaining ATOs.
• Hands-on experience with eMASS and RMF artifacts.
• Experience performing vulnerability and STIG/compliance scans with ACAS/Nessus, SCC, STIG Viewer, Evaluate-STIG or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• DoD 8570/8140-compliant IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher).
• Active DoD Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF process for assigned systems and support ATO lifecycle.
• Develop security artifacts: SSP, POAM, System Diagrams, User Guides.
• Conduct self-assessments using STIG Viewer, SCC, ACAS/Nessus; document findings.
• Track security reports and integrate tools via Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service.
• Monitor Windows/Linux/VMWare environments for compliance and updates.
• Review system audits and close corrective actions; identify RMF deficiencies.
