American Cruise Lines seeks experienced Nav Mate Pilots to lead our U.S.-flag fleet. You will ensure safe vessel operations, adherence to standards, and serve as a professional leader aboard ships on inland and coastal waterways.

Nav Mates advance critical piloting skills, participate in recurrent simulator training, and collaborate with hotel and culinary teams to deliver five-star guest service. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• U.S. Coast Guard Master’s license: minimum 100 GRT with Near Coastal endorsement; 1,600 GRT or greater preferred.
• TWIC credential.
• Experience on coastal and river waterways: minimum 2 years, 5 years desired with Z-drive experience.
• Ability to perform essential functions, with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of passengers, crew, and vessel.
• Operate the vessel in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Execute prudent maneuvering, docking, locking, and anchoring.
• Conduct daily inspections of all vessel spaces.
• Maintain logs, reports, and administrative records.
• Support hotel and culinary teams in delivering five-star guest service.
