Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks experienced Nav Mate Pilots to lead our U.S.-flag fleet on inland and coastal waterways across the East Coast, Alaska, Pacific Northwest, Great Lakes, and major rivers. Nav Mates are senior watch officers responsible for safe vessel operations and professional leadership.

You will pilot vessels, perform daily inspections, maintain logs, and support hotel and culinary teams to deliver five-star guest service.

Qualifications

• U.S. Coast Guard Master license with Near Coastal endorsement and 100 GRT minimum.
• Coast Guard credential (TWIC) required.
• 2+ years coastal/river piloting experience; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of passengers, crew, and vessel.
• Operate vessel in compliance with standards.
• Perform prudent maneuvering, docking, anchoring.
• Conduct daily vessel inspections.
• Maintain logs and reports; support hotel/culinary teams.
