Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Charlton? or El Segundo/Chantilly is seeking a Risk and Reliability Engineer at either El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA. You will lead risk/reliability activities, provide system safety guidance, and work with government customers to support mission assurance across space programs.

Ideal candidates have DoD/NASA experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering timely assessments and technical guidance for decision makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/reliability/systems engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in risk, reliability, and/or system safety.
• Ability to work with DoD/NASA/NRO/Faa and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk, reliability and system safety guidance for national security space and ground systems.
• Lead assessments and deliver insights to senior decision makers.
• Work with program offices to support risk-informed decisions on multiple programs.
• Lead small teams to complete analytical products on time and budget.
• Develop strategies to adapt risk/reliability capabilities for evolving space architectures.
• Collaborate with SMEs to deliver critical assessments for program managers.
