Job summary

Dycom is seeking a Senior Manager Risk Management to oversee the company’s risk management program, including insurance programs, contract review, and subcontractor compliance. You’ll collaborate with brokers, carriers, and the Legal department to ensure coverage aligns with the company’s risk profile.

You’ll lead strategy development, renewal processes, and data-driven improvements while partnering with finance and operating leaders to manage budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate risk management or with an insurer or insurance broker.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance markets, policy forms, and coverage structures.
• Strong analytical skills, including interpretation of actuarial data, loss runs, and financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual strategy, marketing, and renewal process for all insurance portfolios (property/casualty, excess liability, environmental, executive, and surety).
• Assist with risk management evaluations and integration for M&A targets.
• Build and manage relationships with brokers and carriers; conduct periodic performance reviews and manage RFPs.
• Consult with Legal on insurance provisions across contracts, leases, vendor agreements, and real estate transactions to align obligations with coverage.
• Oversee subcontractor compliance and establish insurance criteria for contractors and vendors.
• Oversee the certificate of insurance issuance process.
• Manage data exposure collection to ensure data integrity and optimize renewal outcomes.
• Audit policy documentation and coordinate with brokers and insurers to resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with Finance to manage the team’s operating budget and oversee financial reconciliations and audit premiums.
• Drive continuous process improvements, including automating COI tracking and subcontractor compliance workflows.
