Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Risk Management.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with an insurance carrier, broker, or corporate risk management.
  • CPCU/ARM designations are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to communicate across multiple functions of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Information Systems and data integrity.

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for policies, certificates, and claims with brokers and clients.

  • Assist with self-insurance run-off requirements and coverage placement analysis.
  • Analyze claims data with carriers to facilitate timely closure of claims.
  • Conduct risk assessments to mitigate liability and contractual risks.

Job Description

Responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks within the organization. Participate in the development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize potential losses and ensure compliance with regulations. Complete risk assessments, analyze data, and provide recommendations to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Insurance Program Management: Actively participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of the company’s global risk insurance programs, including US and International programs.
  • Review accuracy of all policies, changes/endorsements, audits, and other documents.
  • Facilitate day‑to‑day activities including internal information requests for policies, insurance certificates and/or auto ID cards, accounting/billing, coordination of claims/loss control services.
  • Work collaboratively with brokers and internal clients in the marketing process, including preparation of all necessary applications, submissions, proposals and presentations.
  • Serve as single point of contact for facilities regarding insurance inquiries.
  • Contract review of insurance provisions in coordination with brokerage partner.
  • Assist with self‑insurance run‑off requirements for states where previously held self‑insured status.
  • Review insurance language negotiated in customer/third‑party contracts.
  • Allocate premium and expenses to facilities through Risk Management Information System tool.
  • Claims Management: Work closely with brokerage and insurance partners to manage claims effectively and efficiently.
  • Retrieve and analyze claims data and work with brokerage and insurance carrier partners to facilitate timely closure of claims.
  • Risk Analysis: Perform risk analysis duties, including compilations of underwriting information and coverage placement, loss forecasting and analysis in order to promote maximum protection of assets and assist in loss reduction, often acting as lead responsible for coverage placement.
  • Conduct risk assessments to mitigate liability exposures and contractual risks.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with an insurance carrier or broker, corporate risk management.
  • CPCU / ARM designations are a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate across multiple functions of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity working with Risk Management Information Systems, implementation and data integrity, and use of system for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment while also establishing work priorities and managing time effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Other Requirements
  • Possible travel to R.R. Donnelley Corporate or other facilities – up to 10%.
Additional Information
  • National pay range: $87,300 – $143,500 (may vary by location and experience).

  • In addition to base salary, total compensation may include bonus, commission, or incentive program.
