Job summary

Kiewit, a leading construction and engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to support risk management and insurance strategies across multiple markets. The role focuses on reviewing contracts, assessing insurance requirements, and negotiating with brokers and carriers to protect people and assets.

You will collaborate with district personnel and corporate teams, travel up to 10%, and contribute to strategic initiatives while handling renewals and claims.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• 10 years multi-line property casualty experience.
• Experience with contract reviews, project insurance bid reviews, and pricing preferred.
• Experience in broker/carrier negotiations preferred.
• Engineering and construction experience preferred.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel up to 10% as needed.
• Team player capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide insurance and risk management support for projects.
• Review contracts and insurance requirements; support pursuit and execution.
• Coordinate with brokers and insurance carriers.
• Manage and assist projects with builders’ risk, property and equipment claims.
• Gather underwriting information and prepare renewals specs.
• Obtain project-specific insurance per contract, including builders’ risk.
• Manage insurance policy extensions.
• Track project insurance program data.
• Review and file insurance policy changes.
• Assist with strategic initiatives.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
