Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferred, including risk consulting, internal audit, risk management, controls, or compliance.
• Experience working within the financial services industry.
• Experience with risk assessments, controls testing, process reviews, audit procedures, or similar risk and controls activities.
• Ability to document business processes, risks, and controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support internal audit, risk consulting, and controls engagements for financial services clients.
• Execute planning, risk assessments, walkthroughs, testing, issue identification, and reporting.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of business processes and controls.
• Perform risk and control testing and document results.
• Conduct interviews and walkthroughs with stakeholders to understand processes, risks, and controls.
• Identify potential control gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop practical recommendations to strengthen the control environment.
• Prepare workpapers, process documentation, testing documentation, and reports.
• Communicate observations and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support engagement leadership with timelines, deliverables, and client needs.
• Assist with reviews of governance, operational risk, regulatory compliance, and other risk areas.
