Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a senior risk and controls professional to support risk consultation on new and existing processes in a hybrid work model with remote-friendly options.

You will help identify gaps, implement controls, and coordinate with internal and external audits to strengthen governance. Required are a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience; master’s preferred; merchant acquiring, ATM, or card network experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Merchant acquiring, ATM, and/or card network experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align policies, program standards, procedures with external guidelines; identify gaps and drive corrective action.
• Identify and monitor operational/strategic risks and associated Key Risk Indicators.
• Identify and implement controls to mitigate operational/strategic risks.
• Serve as liaison for internal/external audit support requests.
• Translate control deficiencies into action plans.
• Enhance governance practices aligned with risk/compliance frameworks.
• Monitor and escalate issues/findings to stakeholders and senior management.
• Stay current on regulatory policy and program standards to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience

Master’s degree preferred
