Job summary

AXA XL, a leading P&C and specialty risk insurer, seeks a Senior Risk Consultant to deliver loss control and underwriting support for US-based accounts within the Americas – Environmental unit. You will perform risk assessments, prepare reports, and partner with underwriters and third-party consultants to enhance risk management programs.

You will develop loss-control services, train clients, and contribute to innovative risk solutions while maintaining strong relationships with safety and risk

Qualifications

• Multidisciplinary loss control account management experience.
• Engineering or Science background with loss control exposure.
• Knowledge of GL, Commercial Auto, WC; Property, Pollution and Professional insurance desirable.
• Experience with EHS consultants and industrial contractors desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CIH, CSP, CHMM, ARM desirable.
• Experience with OSHA, USDOT, USEPA statutes and regulations.
• Familiarity with NFPA, ASTM, ANSI, ISO standards.
• Proficient with PPE and engineering controls.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides underwriting and loss control support for US-based accounts with focus on general liability and auto liability for environmental, health and safety consultants and industrial contractors.
• Conducts property & casualty risk assessments and loss prevention studies (in-person and via telephone) and provides consulting services/training.
• Prepares risk assessment survey reports with customer loss control recommendations for auto liability, general liability and workers' compensation exposures.
• Acts as loss control account manager and interfaces with underwriters to support new/renewal accounts and marketing/sales efforts.
• Prepares task orders and manages third-party consultants for risk assessment surveys and loss control services.
• Builds relationships with customer risk management, transportation and safety personnel.
• Prepares risk and claims analysis documents and reviews customer risk management programs.
• Develops technical risk bulletins, whitepapers and articles as needed.
• Develops new loss control and training services and collaborates with AXA XL Ecosystem partners.
• Supports manager on quality, efficiency, technical and special projects.
