Job summary

Utilities One, a trusted turnkey provider across telecom, power, water, renewable energy, and data center sectors, seeks a Claims Manager in Kent, WA. You will identify risks, manage insurance and claims, and drive a culture of compliance and safety.

Reporting to Governance & Administration, you’ll design ERM frameworks, partner with insurers, analyze claims trends, and prepare leadership reports while developing business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business administration, law, or related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience in corporate risk management, insurance management, or compliance.
• CRM/ARM/FRM certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance structures, claims processes, and legal frameworks.
• Advanced data analysis skills to spot trends and gaps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks across financial, operational, strategic, and safety domains.
• Build, implement, and maintain enterprise risk management policies and protocols.
• Quantify financial and operational impact of identified risks.
• Oversee end-to-end management of corporate claims, including property and liability.
• Partner with insurers, adjusters, and counsel to negotiate coverage and settle claims.
• Analyze claim trends to identify root causes and implement loss-control programs.
• Monitor regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels.
• Prepare risk reports and presentations for leadership and the Board.
• Develop, test, and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Train staff on risk awareness, safety, and compliance.
