Keller Executive Search is partnering with a family-owned leader in the waste and recycling industry to recruit a Risk and Claims Manager based full-time on-site in Cincinnati, OH.

You will lead a small, experienced team of claims professionals, own the timely and sound resolution of complex auto, PD, and BI claims within authority, and turn claims data into risk-reduction strategy that lowers the company's total cost of risk.

Qualifications

• About 10 years in commercial auto, property-damage, and bodily-injury claims.
• Minimum 5 years managing a claim team with accountability.
• Strong analytics and trend analysis translating data into risk-reduction actions.
• Substantial knowledge of insurance principles: loss reduction, reserving, subrogation.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI to analyze claims data.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall planning, development, direction, and administration of claims handling.
• Manage a team of claims professionals to ensure files progress and resolve timely.
• Provide technical guidance on complex claim-file management.
• Review complex and high-exposure claims, advise on resolution strategy within authority.
• Present recommendations on matters exceeding authority to Assistant General Counsel.
• Analyze claims trends to develop risk-reduction recommendations to leadership.
• Use databases and dashboards to evaluate trends and surface improvement opportunities.
• Support business continuity and catastrophe response planning for large-scale loss events.
• Develop and recommend loss-control policies and procedures for implementation.
• Partner with safety, operations, HR, IT, and legal on loss-control programs.
