Job summary

Truist is seeking a risk management professional to collaborate with Business Unit stakeholders, manage risks, and execute risk program requirements including RCSA and KRIs for high-complexity areas. The role provides risk guidance across all risk types and partners with first- and second-line defense to identify and remediate gaps.

You will monitor emerging risks, support enterprise risk monitoring, and contribute to strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field, or equivalent education and related training.
• 5+ years of experience in a financial institution, with emphasis on risk management, or equivalent work experience and training and/or equivalent education, training and experience
• Experience in compliance and operational risk mitigation and remediation
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and complex work environment
• Capability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office software products
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Responsibilities

• Engage with Business Unit stakeholders in managing risks and controls and executing risk program requirements
• Execute, facilitate, and/or monitor Risk Program requirements such as RCSA and KRIs for high-complexity Business Unit areas
• Provide risk advice and support across all risk types
• Partner with first- and second-line defense teammates to identify, escalation, and remediate risk control gaps
• Monitor and report emerging risks affecting Business Unit partners and Truist
• Execute processes and record-retention routines supporting enterprise risk monitoring compliance
• Provide risk management expertise on strategic projects
• Engage appropriate peers for guidance and input
• Perform other required activities and special projects
