Job summary

RBC US Wealth Management is building out our credit, lending and cash management products. As a Risk Advice Senior Manager, Business Risk Oversight, you will provide risk guidance to product managers and business owners, helping to solve complex risk scenarios through collaboration with stakeholders.

You will lead risk governance activities, drive policy design and controls, and partner with Compliance, Law, and Enterprise Risk teams to ensure risk decisions align with RBC risk appetite.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in risk/compliance or product management roles focused on credit/lending and risk management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and leadership with conflict de-escalation.
• Excellent organizational skills with multitasking and prioritization.
• SIE exam completed or obtainable within 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist product managers and other business owners in evaluating and synthesizing regulatory, legal, operational and other risk considerations to find strategic solutions that enable the business within RBC’s risk appetite
• Help business partners develop policy requirements and design supporting processes and controls, including field procedures, supervisory procedures and system controls
• Provide guidance to business partners in navigating business line and Enterprise formal risk governance requirements
• Lead and participate in risk- and business-driven projects
• Collaborate with Business Risk Oversight colleagues, including the supervision, surveillance, operational risk, policy and disclosure management teams, as well as functional groups, such as Compliance, Law Group and Enterprise Group Risk
