Job summary

Prominence Health is seeking a Senior Coder to review medical records and ensure accurate reporting of diagnoses and codes across partner practices. This role supports risk adjustment and quality measurement with pre, post, and wraparound input.

Occasional onsite work at provider offices is required, with travel to out-of-state trainings. Strong CMS/HCC coding knowledge and bilingual capability (Spanish preferred) enhance success in this role.

Qualifications

• University/college degree, or equivalent medical records, claims or billing experience.
• 3+ years in CMS coding and documentation guidelines as well as HCC risk adjustment coding practices.
• CRC Required.
• Additional Coding certification preferred (CCS, CPC, or RHIT) Must be credentialed through AAPC or AHIMA.
• 2+ years in Risk Adjustment Coding.
• Experience with multiple EMR systems and navigation skills.
• Strong knowledge of CMS Coding and Documentation Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and coding review of medical records for services at partnered practices.
• Collaborate with provider offices to ensure accurate reporting of diagnoses and service codes for risk adjustment and quality measures.
• Handle pre, post and wraparound visit input.
• Occasionally onsite at provider offices and may travel out of state for in-person training.
• Maintain consistent, reliable communication to accommodate provider schedules.
