Job summary

Advantech USA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support RISC-based computing platforms, circuit design, and system validation. You will engage with customers and collaborate with software/firmware teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, pre-/post-sales support, and prototype development for demonstrations and training. A strong emphasis on communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in RISC and x86 hardware design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Arm-based computing architectures.
• Experience reading schematics and PCB layouts.
• Proficiency with C programming; Linux experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, design, and validation of system architectures and circuits.
• Collaborate with software/firmware teams throughout development.
• Provide pre-/post-sales technical support and feasibility testing.
• Develop solutions for customer requirements and perform system testing.
• Build demonstration prototypes for sales and marketing.
• Address field issues and coordinate with field personnel.
• Occasionally lift and carry equipment and work extended hours as needed.
