Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Land & Right-of-Way Agent to support Operations through proactive management of landowner relationships, right-of-way compliance, and property rights acquisitions to ensure facilities remain accessible and compliant.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and a thorough understanding of real estate, easements, and land management practices, with regular travel across the service territory.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in right-of-way, land acquisition, real estate, utility operations, public agency relations, or related field.
• Experience negotiating land rights and property agreements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the service territory.
• A satisfactory Driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve historical and existing encroachments impacting company rights.
• Investigate property ownership, title records, easement rights, deeds, permits, licenses, and other land documents.
• Support right-of-way inspections and evaluate impacts to assets/operations.
• Coordinate corrective actions for unauthorized land use and access restrictions.
• Maintain accurate land records in company systems.
• Serve as primary contact for landowner inquiries and concerns; build relationships.
• Prepare and deliver landowner notifications related to maintenance, inspections, and activities.
• Negotiate easements, licenses, permits, and other land rights for operations.
• Support acquisition of land and property interests for maintenance and capital projects.
• Assist with emergency access, routine planning, and regulatory compliance.
