Job summary

WSB is seeking a seasoned right of way professional to support transportation and utility projects. You will meet with clients, landowners, and staff to discuss parcel impacts, perform title work, negotiate settlements, and manage project records.

The role requires independence, strong communication, and the ability to balance office and field tasks across multiple projects with adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of right of way experience in transmission, electric, or oil & gas.
• Experience with acquisition, relocation, and title examination.
• Ability to manage large volumes of work and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients, design staff and landowners to discuss project impacts on parcels.
• Complete field title investigations, present offers of compensation and negotiate settlements.
• Research property ownership, set up parcel files, notarize documents, and assist in project management tracking.
• Effectively self-manage schedule and tasks including balancing office and fieldwork.
• Draft conveyance documents and obtain mortgage releases.
• Assist with right of way activities including acquisition support and relocation assistance.
• Prepare and maintain landowner line lists, correspondence, and project files.
• Assist with preparation of right of way and eminent domain documents and perform data entry.
• Generate essential project documents and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Learn and apply federal, state, and local right of way regulations, including Uniform Relocation Act.
• Work on multiple projects, review titles, appraisals and environmental documents.
