Job summary

StaffSource is seeking a Red Hat Linux System Administrator to monitor and maintain Cameo systems in an AWS EC2 environment. The role is fully on-site in Warrenton, VA, Washington DC, or Fort Washington, MD, with Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance required.

The candidate will configure and support RHEL servers in AWS EC2, deploy AMIs, and manage virtualization and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Advanced hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux (7/8/9) and RHEL patching/hardening.
• Experience with AWS EC2 and S3 provisioning and AMI deployment.
• Experience with Linux-based automation tools (Chef, Ansible).
• Docker, virtualization, Kubernetes, and containerization experience.
• Familiar with STIGs and government compliance.
• Networking and firewall knowledge (Cisco ASA).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of Cameo and Guacamole is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment.
• Install Linux/Windows servers in a virtualized environment; troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Ensure systems comply with government security standards and policies.
• Troubleshoot network hardware, OS upgrades, and security systems.
• Maintain a customer-focused attitude and provide clear, timely communication.
• Collaborate in a team and participate in meetings with stakeholders.
• No travel requirements for this position.
