Job summary

ON.energy is looking for a Senior RHEL Engineer based in Houston, TX. This role involves owning the OS and container platform behind energy-management deployments, including building a tailored RHEL image and managing containerized workloads.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RHEL/Linux engineering, container-native delivery, and strong networking skills. The position requires travel for on-site support but focuses on platform engineering, not field installation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior, hands-on production RHEL/Linux engineering.
• Experience with container image building and management.
• Strong knowledge of networking and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a turnkey RHEL image for SCADA.
• Harden OS and images to a recognized baseline.
• Troubleshoot OS, container, and application runtime behavior.
