Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Red Hat Linux Platform Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team in Austin, TX. You will design and implement enterprise Red Hat Linux platform solutions, drive reliability, and modernize the OS lifecycle.

You will lead Ansible automation initiatives, build scalable IaC, and collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards. This role requires deep Linux expertise and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of systems engineering experience
• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12+ years of experience in systems engineering
• Experience with enterprise Linux administration and engineering, preferably Red Hat environments

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement enterprise Red Hat Linux platform solutions.
• Lead automation initiatives with Ansible and IaC governance.
• Create and maintain Ansible roles, playbooks, collections, templates, and automation workflows.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code standards and automation governance processes.
• Build automated server provisioning, OS configuration, patching, compliance remediation, and deployment solutions.
• Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise platforms.
• Implement automated configuration drift detection and remediation capabilities.
• Establish code review, testing, source control, and release management processes for infrastructure automation.
